Artist Bio: I was born and raised in Pittsburgh but have lived most of my life in Florida. I've had various long-term careers, including: dental assistant, bank loan officer and fitness instructor. I graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota in 1985. I painted and sold some of my work at a couple local shops, following graduation. I spent most of my time being a mom!
The Work: I eventually worked out my own style over the years. My favorite work is done on wood or MDF with acrylic pant. I venture into other areas on occasion. I love to paint colorful, whimsical paintings---lots of cats, horses, frogs and other critters. I also do other subject matter including kitchen/foodie art, flowers, trees and more. People often comment that my work makes them smile---THAT makes me smile!
Baby Owl Friends: approx. 8"w x 10"h
The work is top coated with varnish, to make the colors pop, seal the surface and allow for wiping clean if necessary. All work has a painted edge rather than frame, is wired and ready to hang and enjoy.
